The galvanized immersion (GD) configuration includes a one-piece Machined stainless steel thermowell which has male 1/2 inch NPT threads. The wells are milled to tight tolerances so there is maximum temperature transfer and this eliminates the need for thermal grease. The sensing element is double encapsulated to avoid sensor failures caused by moisture infiltration.
