This 10 IN Ames Fire and Waterworks, series 1000SS, detector check valve is used in fire protection applications to detect leakage or unauthorized use of water in fire sprinkler systems. It consists of a stainless steel body construction with flanged connections, and stainless steel linkage parts. It is lightweight, non-corrosive, and can be installed in a horizontal or vertical position. The maximum pressure is 175 psi (12.06 bar).
